‘Vadakupatti Ramasamy’ is a film starring Santhanam and Megha Akash. Directed by Karthik Yogi who directed ‘Dikilona’. It stars Ravi, Tamil, John Vijay, MS Bhaskar, Ravi Maria and many others. Shaun Roldan has composed the music for this film produced by People Media Factory. Deepak has done the cinematography. The film is slated to release on February 2. There was a protest on social media saying that the trailer contained controversial scenes about Periyar.

Director Karthik Yogi says, “It is a complete comedy film. The story is set in the year 1974 in an imaginary village. The film is where the problem of hero and villain ends due to village satire. More comedy actors have participated in it. There are no controversial scenes in the film. There will be no scenes to offend anyone. You will understand when you watch the movie. We shot the film in 63 days. It will be a film for everyone,” he said.
