At one point, when the argument reached its peak, Iranyakasipu, who was trying to destroy Pragalathan, broke the nearby pillar saying, “Is your Vishnu here?” Lord Vishnu appeared as a lion in his ferocious anger and broke the pillar into two forms, man and beast.
